Product description:

Through crystal Swarovski creates an AURA of Light…Aura by Swarovski: a luminescent fragrance.

The starting point: the crystal, cut and faceted with Swarovski’s exclusive know-how, captures light, diffracts it and sheds it in a thousand and one luminous vibrations. The signature scent of Aura by Swarovski is directly inspired by this magic.

At the heart of the fragrance is a prism of energy, a fusion of amber, benzoin, and white musk. Three pure and noble olfactory vibrations become charged with energy, transforming into more intense, luminous rays of clear light.

- Swarvoski

Aura comes beautifully packaged with a large crystal embedded in the lid, a nice piece to show off on any dressing table.

Pros:

  • The scent is strong and also subtle
  • Long lasting, the fragrance lasts for around 6 hours before it settles into a soft scent
  • Suitable to wear both during the day and into the evening

Cons:

  • None

Summary:

Who would we purchase this for?

This perfume reminds us of the gentle scent of a rose garden in full bloom so we’d recommend this for anyone who enjoys both subtle and flowery scents.

Product description taken from the Robert Piguet website:

Visa, Robert Piguet’s classic oriental fragrance originally created by Germaine Cellier and Jean Charles and launched in 1945, has been re-orchestrated to blend modern radiance and retro glamour. Givaudan’s Aurélien Guichard undertook the delicate process of adapting Visa’s original formula to respond to today’s sensibilities. The approach combined contemporary style with a strong commitment to Piguet’s original vision, specifically remaining sensitive to all the nuances and complexities of Visa. A blend of spices, flowers and fruits from different areas of the globe, Visa de Robert Piguet is its wearer’s passport to an exotic encounter.

Pros:

  • This perfume was long lasting. It stayed strong for well over 6 hours before it began to fade
  • The fragrance really does adapt to your bodies chemistry, we tried this on two different people and the result was an almost completely different scent

Cons:

  • None

Summary:

Who would we purchase this for?

I absolutely recommend this fragrance for ladies who enjoy a slightly strong sweet and fruity scent. A huge plus is that the perfume adapts to each individual to give a unique scent.

Today we’ll be reviewing Nina Ricci’s Fantasy perfume.

Product description taken from Nina Ricci Fantasy website:

In the shade of the bergamot, mandarin and pear trees, alluring, discreet and spontaneous cherry blossom, solar uplift with cream of roses and heliotrope hint of brown sugar and of mate.

Fantasy is a beautiful mixture of sweet fruit and flowers with a hint of spice which blend together to create this sweet fragrance. Nina Ricci set up a website dedicated to the perfume which you can find here for more detailed information and a short movie.

To test, we sprayed the perfume onto clean skin spraying on the wrists, neck and behind the ears.

Pros:

  • Nina Ricci have perfected the balance of creating both a gentle but strong scent which doesn’t overwhelm the senses
  • The packaging is absolutely gorgeous which is typical for a Nina Ricci product

Cons:

  • After 5 minutes of spraying the perfume it began to lose its strength quickly settling into a very faint flowery scent
  • After an hour the smell of the perfume was almost gone after two hours it required a re-spray

Extras:

Fantasy also comes with a beautifully illustrated fold out booklet.

Summary:

Would we purchase this again? Yes.

This is a beautiful fragrance, when I first sprayed it on my skin it gave off a medley of warm scents from sweet fruits to a flower garden but was not overwhelming. After one to two hours the smell was gone and required a re-spray which for even a EDT I felt was quite poor. It is a beautiful perfume and I would recommend it to anyone who likes light, fruity fragrances despite it’s short wear time.

Purchase information:

Nina Ricci’s Fantasy is currently available from John Lewis and Debenhams with prices starting from £36.50.
